EAP

I met an officer to talk about my class this morning because I asked him to change my class to the EAP to get high mark in the IELTS test. I've never taken the IELTS before but I took the TOEFL nine months ago, which helped me to go to the EAP.

In the EAP class, I was taught technique to get high score in the IELTS test by my teacher, which will be helpful for me but I felt the class which I had received on the previous day was more excited than EAP. The reason why I felt so is that I have to keep listening what teacher said rather than speaking in English.

To make up for that, I discuss about some IELTS topics with my friends but I couldn't explain what I thought well, which made me depressed. However this will be an essential thing to get use to speaking in English and I must be answering any kinds of questions if I keep doing that.

  2. This is good as Benton said, who is my host family. And also my host mother said it was good:) But there are some mistakes. You should change " the previous day was more excited than EAP" into "more exciting" and " I have to keep listening what" into "keep listening to". Anyway, well done.

  3. Glad to hear good news that you could change the classes. EAP is the best way to achieve 6.5 band in IELTS, I believe, if you work hard.

I also have difficulty speaking English when I explain something. All we need is practice a lot and be confident. (My teacher said that)

I noticed some mistakes, such as "discuss about topics." You do not need "about." Practice!

  4. I guess you did well on your IELTS test, even if you felt "dead".
    Keep studying together!

  5. Hi Yasuhiro

Congratulations on going to the EAP class - I'm sure it will help a lot. As you host family as already pointed out the grammar errors, I won't do the same. There is no need to reinvent the wheel as we say in English). All the best in the IELTS!
