EAP

I met an officer to talk about my class this morning because I asked him to change my class to the EAP to get high mark in the IELTS test. I've never taken the IELTS before but I took the TOEFL nine months ago, which helped me to go to the EAP.

In the EAP class, I was taught technique to get high score in the IELTS test by my teacher, which will be helpful for me but I felt the class which I had received on the previous day was more excited than EAP. The reason why I felt so is that I have to keep listening what teacher said rather than speaking in English.

To make up for that, I discuss about some IELTS topics with my friends but I couldn't explain what I thought well, which made me depressed. However this will be an essential thing to get use to speaking in English and I must be answering any kinds of questions if I keep doing that.

Study abroad

I usually practice English with Japanese friends to get high mark in the speaking test at IELTS after our class finish but we talked about a different thing from some IELTS topics, which is the reason why we want to go to the UQ.

Some of them have a clear purpose to go to the UQ, for example, communicating with native speakers to improve their English, leaving the ICTE as soon as possible to know bigger world and joining an internship program to find what they want to find in the future. On the other hand, I hadn't found what I want to do in the UQ and I almost gave up taking 6.5 at IELTS test to go to the UQ. Because I couldn't go to EAP class and I also didn't have any confidence to follow new class. But one of my friends told me you should think your new class as a big chance because there are many people who can speak English very well around you, which is a hard situation for you at first but that will make not only your English but also your personality better. The other friend also said that every time you face with tough situation, you often make an excuse to protect yourself, which isn't good for you.

Owing to them, I realized my weakness and decided to change myself so even if I can't change my class, I will definitely do my best to take 6.5 at IELTS test. Actually, I haven't find what I want to do in the UQ now but I want to be a patient person, which is one of my goals in my study abroad.

Cairns

It has passed eight days since a session break started. Anyway, a couple days ago, I went to the Cairns as a backpacer.

On the first day, I went to the Paronella Park which is resemble Japanese famous movie " Castle in the sky" directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Some people believe this castle must be a model althogh I don't think so. Because I think it's just a rumor. I joined a tour which took me to the Paonella park in the night and watched a beautiful castle illuminated by some lights.

On the second day, I headed to the Curanda by the Curanda rail road. While I was riding on the train, I watched magnificent view. There were many types of shops in the Curanda vIlleage, especially a candy shop was awsome. The reason why I said it is all candies sold in the shops are made in the shop and I watched how to make them.

On the last day, I was going to take an airbaroon from 6am but I couldn't do it because of me. That's why I had to check in the Cairns airport by 9:35am so I didn't have any enogh time to ride on an airbaroon. But my trip was excellent except airbarooning. I wanna do again in the next session break .
